Requirements for MVCS Athletes

Organizations

STUDENTS LEADING BY SERVICE (SLS)

SLS is an opportunity for students to demonstrate servant leadership to their peers by helping to meet various needs around campus throughout the school year. This teacher-sponsored, student-led organization is open to all high school students who are interested in applying.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY (NHS)

Each year juniors and seniors are invited to apply for membership. Students inducted into the NHS must meet specific academic and character-based requirements.

SPANISH CLUB

The MVCS Spanish Club strives to encourage students’ interest in Spanish language and culture through cultural events, fun games, potlucks, competitions, and other activities.

Community Service

MVCS emphasizes the value of serving others.

Community Service is incorporated into many aspects of our program. Students are encouraged to seek out organizations and individuals to offer help without the expectation of recognition.

Each year the entire student body participates in the annual Serve-A-Thon fundraiser, an opportunity to give back to the Las Cruces community while raising support for the school.
